What is a streetfighter part deux

Once again the discussion of "what is a streetfighter" has sprung-up on the web. It seems like this particular issue is never fully explained, and so, keeps bubbling up to the surface of discussion. People - particularly those here in the states - just can't quite settle on what makes a bike a streetfighter.

Missing one opportunity leads to another

So I know I missed my entry yesterday for the Wednesday rant-day post, but it was for good reason. I was checking out my local bike nights calendar and saw that Quaker Steak & Lube, in Clearwater, was doing something that I just couldn't pass up.

Interview with Rainer Budnik

Daytona77 Photo 01Daytona77 Photo 01There are times when writing about bikes is the best thing in the world. This was one of those times. I have been fortunate enough to interview one of the best builders in Germany, Rainer Budnik, of Budnik Cycles. Rainer is from Germany, and english is not his native language, but we had a chance to communicate via e-mail and I was able to get in a quick Q & A session with the man. So read-on for pictures and the interview.

A US-based Streetfighter Club is born

Portland, Oregon - Spring 2008 – ThaSick1 has taken his love of the performance machines and the lifestyle that follows alongside it, and has begun his search for brothers and sisters that also value the commitment to the streetfighter lifestyle. Thus is born STREETFIGHERS MC. Continuing in the original dream of a streetfighter-based MC club, ThaSick1 has laid down a foundation of solidity & brotherhood, along with specific By-Laws and Rules towards prospects and membership.

My fighter has been featured!

My featured Fighter

For anyone who has built a custom bike, it is really really cool to see your own bike featured in a magazine. Even though I post my own articles here at TSB, and have posted my bike on several other websites, it is still an awesome thing to see my bike featured in a real magazine.

Givi X.01 Helmet

WBW Givi X.01 pic 1
As a streetfighter fan, I am also a big fan of unique helmets. For years I have drooled over some of the sweet "Jet" style helmets and fancy full-face helmets that our brothers across the pond have had access to. Well Finally, we get our moment to shine. The amazing folks over at WebBikeWorld have posted a very thorough review of Givi's X.01 modular helmet.
I think this is such a great idea for a helmet. The flip-up "modular" helmets I've seen seem to me to have made too many compromises to do the whole flip-up thing. The X.01 looks pretty amazing.
