Myrtle Beach Spring Rally

Over 300,000 motorcycle enthusiasts make it to the Myrtle Beach Spring Rally every year. Heading into its 68th year, the rally has expanded north into North Carolina, south into Georgetown, west to Conway and beyond to Marion County.

But the focal point of the rally is still the "Grand Strand" area - 60 miles of beaches surrounded by Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.

Little River, an old fishing village, still known for sport fishing.
North Myrtle Beach, known for family-friendly smaller hotels and cottages.
Myrtle Beach, the crown jewel, large hotels and resorts and the most activity.
Surfside Beach, fewer high-rises, lots of activity, a smaller version of Myrtle.
Garden City, also family-friendly and a little quieter.
Murrells Inlet, a fishing village famous for seafood, salt marshes but no beach.
Litchfield Beach, an upscale resort town and historic plantation site.
Pawleys Island, known for hammocks and a low-key atmosphere.
Georgetown, an historic seaport.

Myrtle Beach Bike Week History: Back in 1940 when the rally began, the population of Myrtle Beach was only 1,597. Today, the area draws 14 million tourists per year, has over 500 hotels and nearly 2,000 restaurants, as well as night clubs, water parks, theme parks and golf resorts.
