What could be more American than a post 4th of July celebration at Gettysburg Bike Week? Hosted by a town whose place in history was cemented as the turning point in the Civil War, Gettysburg welcomes over 20,000 motorcyclists annually.

Now the event stretches into several venues all over the town. The smell of sulfur will be replaced with the sweet scent of exhaust billowing from the warm pipes of motorcycles. Musical entertainment, great grub and beverages are all a part of this annual rally.

Of course there will be bikini contests and poker runs. There's even a fireworks show. If you consider yourself a history buff or if you're aspiring to be one, you may want to join the droves of people on a scenic ride through the historical battlefield or NEW this year--get a bird's eye view on a helicopter ride over it!
